Wolven Storm

I wanted to really capture this perspective through the art, therefore my starting point was to find a copyright-free image of a woman's eye, colour it purple and put it in a vignette. I then searched through wolf images for one that would overlay nicely with the tools I had, so that I could put the wolf as reflection in her pupil, framing it as the object of her gaze.
This is another cover art that I made, using a combination of free apps including Rookie Cam. The track in question was a remix of "Wolven Storm" from the Witcher 3 soundtrack. The main character, Geralt, is often compared to a wolf and the song is from the perspective of his love interest, Yennifer, who has purple eyes.
Beginnings
Gaze
Given the song's title, I wanted to frame the central motif within a setting of stormy weather, specifically a snowstorm, in order to reflect the plot of the story. I found a particularly suitable image of waves breaking on a black beach in a snowstorm, which had a nice juxtaposition of light and dark that perfectly reflected the moral decision-making at the centre of the game (your in-game actions determine the ending). It also alludes to the location where the plot reaches its climax.
Storm
The purpose of the vignette from earlier was to allow me to overlay the two images, which I did while cropping into the storm image to make the composition work.
